It seems like forever since i started planning a permanent layout but am glad i did not rush into it and took some of the ideas from the forum into consideration. Finally got around to starting construction in November and rushed to get the trains running for the holidays. Still working on wiring for legacy/command control. Right now just running the trains i have lionchief and one legacy train through Bluetooth or with the controllers. Accessories are wired to a bus.  Hope to be able to put in cab2 controller and LCS in the next 3-6 months.  The layout is triangle in shape. Wall sides are approximately 10 feet. Benchwork is Mainne with rollers so i can wall around if necessary.  Appreciate all of the advice from the forum. Still learning as i build.  No plan to model anything specific - just for fun rail road.B608F882-7744-4391-9D33-6F58A5AD899CECC70E2E-0542-4DF6-BA73-23F34605B7557C6162BD-F227-4F0A-80EF-B070356CDBB96273E3EC-A1A9-40A0-90EB-0FE7AFC5E2D348187D56-FAA9-4640-BA6F-6BF39C7C52F2

Nice job!  In photographs 2, I see the curved track comes right up to the touble track.  Have you tested to see if any of your equipment on the curve hit a train on the other track.  Maybe all of your engines and cars are short enoug to not overhang enough, but I would want to test it to be sure if you haven't.  Congratulations on getting things up and running.

Mark, the 3rd photo shows trains passing each other in that area. Plus, at the end of the video, there are trains running on all 3 tracks also passing each other. The view is from the other side of the bridge, but you can see the outside train coming to the bridge, the inside train going away from the bridge and the light of the train on the loop coming toward the bridge too. Hard to tell if a different mix of engines or different timing will result in a crash.

Thanks for the comments. Dave is correct - so far no contact between trains.  The outside loop is the only one where I will run any train that requires 54 inch curve. The AA Canadian pacific passenger cars are 21 inches. I will probably only run those cars sporadically.  The other loops are either 48 or 36. As much as I would like to be able to run the bigger trains, the layout is for fun and I like the post war scale.

will post videos horizontally in future.  I can see the difference now

will update when I get the next block of time to work on trains  unfortunately holiday is over and it’s back to work tomorrow !
