I don't really understand the question. The original Lionel trestle set was designed to clamp to Lionel tubular track -- one full section of track between supports.

I agree, don't understand your question. Are you running dual track and want to incorporate an 036 curve section on one or both tracks?

I should have been more specific, I am in the process of building my first layout, I went as large as I could, I have been buying what ever I could find, I have lots of accessories, the size of my table is 8x8 with an add on of a 4x4 on one side, I have mostly 036 curves, all fastrac, I purchased 2 elevated trestle sets and was wondering whats the best layout for it and how much track I should use, I am most likely using the layout in the fast track book Coal Field Railroad. There is a lot of open space in the middle of layout for accessories
Thanks
You have a pretty good size table, but with the back side in a corner the access isn't so good. Also, if you put up an extended trestle set, that will make access to the back even more difficult if a train happens to derail or stop back there. Those are factors to consider in the overall track plan. Do you have two pairs of switches and only O36 curves? Are your trains conventional control? Do you want enough track space to hold two or three trains? If you give some more info I may be able to come up with some suitable suggestions for you.

Thanks, I HAVE 3 switches now, plan to buy at least 2 more. I do have a 22+45 degree crossover, I know they might not be needed, It will be conventional control. I can still move tables around they are not joined, I have 2 4x8 plus 1 4x4

I commented on your other thread of the same topic, but it appears this one is taking the lead. I echoed Ace's comments about access. Assuming your 2 table sizes are relative certain and you don't want to alter them, do you have the room to make a T or L shape? The base of the T would be the 4x4 and you should be able to access the entire layout. An L layout would just move the 4x4 to one of the ends.
