Well friends, more than a few weeks has past since I last posted re: my layout.
I'd like to update on my progress...
After developing what I thought was the final final final version, ( we have all been there) I 'settled on a 'final' layout.
A simple 0-82 and 0-72 Dual Oval with a small angle for the two lines at the bottom. See around the wall 10.5 x17 thread July 2013.
I have the track laid out on the floor, this RR Track thing is pretty accurate The track is where it should be according to the layout on the screen, even squeeked out another 2' in track length afterwards.
Having the track on the floor was no enough, so I hooked up one terminal track ( I'm using Fastrack ) and then fed the power wires to my trusty CW-80, kept the big MTH4000 in the box for this.
Finally turned on the power and all the switches lit up, Fantastic... now pulled out my trusty 243 and set her off. Amazingly, it worked! The outside track has some dead spots, I'm hoping due to only one terminal, or dirty or both?
That was and is how it sits for weeks, but I don't want to play on the floor, I needed benchwork.
Friday, that part of it began. I tried to keep it real simple, but sturdy. Max width of anywhwere is 30", so that is easy and table is set at 40", working on either a lift out or drop down now.
Here are some pics...
