B unit and MTH wire harness | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Is there any reason why I could not take a modern Lionel B unit and install an MTH wiring harness inside to lash up the B unit with my MTH diesels. For that matter an MTH B unit should have the same harness, if I wanted to add another B unit.

If you're talking about a dummy, you can add the BC-2100070 10 pin flat, PS2 (B unit pass thru) harness that goes straight through a dummy B to a trailing A or B unit. Of course, normally there is a special truck bracket that mounts the male connector that connects to the following powered or dummy unit, you'll have to deal with that.

OK thanks, and yes, I was speaking of a totally non-operative (dummy) B unit.
