A FYI for B&O National Limited fans. In the Golden Gate Depot Missouri Pacific EAGLE offering, there are B&O cars and MP/T&P cars offered that Ran on the National Limited. B&O 10-5 sleepers are in The EAGLE paint scheme with small B&O initials by the doors. MP/T&P 5 bedroom-lounge cars are offered that ran on the B&O Nat Ltd in Eagle paint and we’re even used for tail end cars on the Nat. Ltd. !!!  Many 14-4 Eagle sleepers also ran on the N. L. All these cars are in the EAGLE paint scheme.
Here is a chance to begin to build or add to a prototypical National Ltd consist.  Don’t miss this opportunity. 😮                   Check out the Golden Gate website and if interested - the forum thread on the GGD MP and T&P EAGLES

Cheers 🙂

My modeling centers around where I grew up - St Louis - and it’s Union Station. The next linkage is the Missouri Pacific and roads that it interacted with - like the B&O and the National Ltd. I was able to pick up a 3rd Rail EA-EB with a correct # that came into Union Station and my do it yourself National was started. I’ll target post-war up to mid 60s +/-.  Nothing to rigorous - as accurate as possible but it won’t get to big as my layout is only 8x12 and I’m doing GGD 20” cars. I see B&O as kind of an eclectic mix of heavyweights and modern cars. With that in mind, so far I’ve put together (all GGD) Heavyweight Baggage and RPO, a streamline coach, B&O and MP Slumber coaches, MP 5BR-lounge (for observation), and MP 14-4 thru sleeper. I’ve a B&O Budd 16-4 reserved. That might be it. Maybe a heavyweight diner and/or sleeper could find its way into the consist. Only  A bit prototypical but definitely eclectic.  Do-it-yourself consist builders can’t be to picky. It’s getting close to being “finished” and importantly it’s been fun.

Any other National Ltd fans out there ????
