Have just finished my (DCS,GG & RCS) track laying for my 6'x9' learning layout.  I'm following Barry's Bible. Using about 10 to 12 sections of track for each block is simple. My question is the small switching yard that I have. A single right-hand Ross turnout from a loop and then into a number of left-hand Ross turnouts.  It features 4 Ross turnouts with a varying number of track sections for each siding.  Siding vary in number of track sections from about 5 down to 3.  I know the siding are small, but I'm in a learning curve. My question???  What is best plan to block these turnouts & sidings to keep a very good dcs signal?  Barry may have put it in his book but I missed it.  At first wiring, I will have dcs to all siding to be sure they are operational then toggle them to power each off and on.  I have only 1 TIU now but it should be enough for all my blocks.  If not, I'll unhook a siding or two.

All advice and suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks

Tommy

Don't forget you have 4  channels to work with. Each one has it's own signal generator and the var channel can be set to fixed mode just like fixed one and two.  4 are better than 1

Each channel can also  use the same power supply. .  just jumper the  Ins over.   A lighted bumper at the end of stub track does wonders for the track signal.

That would depend whether the switches are pre-wired or not. Most of ours are not pre-wired   and that's usually the end of a block on the diverging end of the switch and the beginning of 2 new blocks. If pre wired I would just consider the switch another section of track.   You should be able to get a perfect dcs signal on your layout.   Test as you go.   Even with your 4 way I would consider each track a block and add an on /off toggle
