I am noticing something strange with my Cab2.  When I put a brand new Legacy engine out of the box and on the track after assigning a number etc, I get the full crew/talk dialogue at start up.   I also get multiple conversations from Dinner Passenger cars and stock cars.   But every time I power up those units after that, I don't get the crew talk when powering up, and don't get the conversations I once heard when I first ran the units.  (ie the Asa Packer stations sounds diner car had some conversation with a little boy so excited to see the train) - every time I press the crew talk button it repeats the same conversation and does not go to the "little boy" conversation.

I am using version 1.60 on my Cab 2.  Do I need an upgrade or does it sound like there is a malfunction in the remote?

Truthfully, this sounds more like operator error.  If everything else works with the CAB2, I can't imagine this particular issue being the CAB2 or Legacy base.

How do you explain not getting the crew talk dialogue if I did the same thing the 2nd, 3rd, 4th time etc...addressing the engine number and hitting the "start-up" icon on my Cab 2?  What error am I making?

Not sure, but I can't imagine what the Legacy system would do to cause that.  It makes no sense that it would work once and then never again.

Ok, John...You were right!  I get the dumb-a** award for the day!  I discovered the start-up button won't go into dialogue unless you hold down the button for an extra second or two.  Otherwise it just goes to the engine starting up without the dialogue.  I don't know why I got the dialogue on the first time?  I KNOW I NEVER held down the start-up button when first getting a new engine out the box!

So yes, John...it was user error!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to cut two holes out of a paper bag to go over my head! LOL
