I think I have my track plan in it's final form. Any constructive criticism would be much approached! I have included JPEG attachments of the plan and it's various 3D views. For those that have RR Tracks V5.3 track planning program, I have also included the original layout plan file for download. Share if desired. If anyone is ever interested in having a track plan made for yourself such as this, just send me a rough sketch of the plan and the dimensions of the table. I would be more than happy to make a professional track plan for you at no cost. I enjoy designing track plans, and using the software to do so! I have made at least six hundred of them, so it's really no big deal. Happy Railroading. Fred

I have several questions. My questions are based on the assumption that the layout is approximately 12½' by 12½' (let me know if I am misunderstanding the scale).
- It looks like the curved track is all 36" in diameter. Is it your plan never to run any engines or long cars that require O42 or larger?
- I can reach across my layout about 3 feet, but I mess up anything along the edge as my body bends over it, so a more practical reach is about 2½ feet. So, what kind of access are you planning to reach 7½ feet out in the middle of the layout?
- I enjoy seeing a second or third train running unattended while I operate my main train. Do you have plans for some very fancy controls that would allow multiple, unattended trains running?
Hi John, The table size is 25 feet X 25 feet. The walkways are 3 feet wide. All of the track is 0-72/0-72 switches. The switches will all be Atlas O with the exception of 1 Ross switch(#4 three way). I will use a hydraulic lift/pump to raise the entire "lake" up three feet above the tabletop for access. In the right upper corner of the layout I will build a small porch/stairs with railings (Like a backdoor porch) to walk right up to the tabletop/walk on tabletop. The table will be made of 3/4 inch plywood/2x4's throughout. The turntable will be a 30 inch bridge. I will use 4 Lionel ZW's and the old original Lionel TMMC system. I will run one train at a time coming out of the yard, and will have a PCC trolley line. I will also install a bumper track for a #50 gang car. All of the parking lots on the plan are there for my 150 die cast car collection. The table as a whole would be built to heavy industrial standards, and have it's own 120 /220 volt electrical system and sockets that runs underneath the table, and it's own hookups to the breaker box. Thank's for responding. Fred
