This is the layout of Rick Bigliardi, one of the talented modelers who is a member of the North Atlanta O-Gauge RailRoad Club. I am going to venture out and say that the members of this club have some of the finest layouts from one club...or at least I would put them up against any other. Many of their layouts have been featured in many model railroad magazines and are a integral feature of the Piedmont Pilgrimage in the fall. Besides Rick's North Pole, Tinseltown South, and Bigville (NTS&B) layout, there is also Eric Siegel's Appalachian and Western Railroad (the same Eric that receives all of your praises), Jim Dorsett's The Cumberland and Appalachian, Jay Cain's layout featured in CMT, Nydia Hanna's Raccoon Creek Scenic Railroad (my former layout), Ted Brook's, Dean Bowser's, Max Warfel (who had his own articles in OGR), Curt Warfel (Max's Dad), and the most outstanding of the all...Bill Dischinger's Sugar Creek Valley Railroad. And I know I am missing many others and I apologize to the members.
Here is the Piedmont Pilgrimage site to check a few out http://www.piedmontpilgrimage..../2014-10 ....or just google some of the names and you will be able to see more video. Oh, and yeah, you can check out the club's layout still in the process of being built at HobbyTown USA in Kennessaw. Great club...great people.
OGR might just want to feature a whole magazine on that club's layouts!
Rick
close by too maybe i'll check it out since i'm in the Atlanta area
As you can see:
Eric's layout is open to the public on Oct. 18, 10-5
Jim's layout is open on Oct. 19, 11-3
Bill's layout is open Oct. 19, 11-5
Rick's layout is open Nov. 2, 11-3
Nydia's layout is open Nov. 9, 1-5 (if you go to see this layout, I highly recommend you visit Joe Nichols Jr.'s layout. It is an HO n3 layout but spectacular. Joe is a former student of mine many, many years ago). I do take pride in the Raccoon Creek Scenic Railroad layout as it was what I dreamed of building many years.

Avery cool, also think your bridges were neat too! Great job.
Very nice.
Thanks for posting.
Thanks for posting.
that is neat, I am thinking ground up to about 6 feet then down, not a spiral ,, switch backs, a lot of S curves,
How long did it take to build that and which track planner did you use?
