Just wondering if anyone uses anything other than a utility knife to cut quiet brace? I am pondering I jigsaw with a fine tooth blade to speed it up.

Most of my cutting is in the garage, so the mess not an issue. I don't cut anything in the train room.
I use a regular old handsaw on homosote and I assume it will work well on quiet brace. Do mine outside though.

I used 12 4X8 sheets so far, and cut it with razor knife, sawalls and jig saw. I ended up painting it with a cheap latex paint close to the color of what I want for a surface base color. It took two coats. I should have put the first coat on before I even started cutting it up. It is down right nasty to work with.
I cut my QuietBrace with a utility knife for the straight, regular cuts. For curves and for angled straight and curved cuts (as for roadbed) I used a jigsaw with the Bosch T113A3 Knife Edge blades. No dust either way.
After cutting eight to 10 feet, the blade gets loaded with the resin on the surfaces of the QuietBrace, and may dull a bit. Clean the blades by simply scrapping off the black resin with the utility knife and sharpen it with a medium grit stone. I bought three, 3-blade packs thinking that they would not last, but I used only two blades for my entire layout (over 20 sheets of QB).

Good luck!

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I will pick up some of those blades, should be a big help!
I'm picking up some of those blades too.
Should work just as well on Soundstop, except it has a lot less resin so less cleaning.
Good Find Alex.
I started putting Homasote down, and found a system that works for me. I cut the Homasote slightly oversize, then follow up with a flush cut bit in my router. This cutting is done in the train room, and I do have dust collection on the router. I also cut full sheets on the table saw in the shop in the next room, also with good dust collection. The dust is minimal.
