Hi guys,
This may be a dumb question but......
I was in the process of assembling some DCS Filters that Susan Deats shows on her website.
In the parts list below Susan specifies 12 inches of #22 gauge solid insulated copper wire. Does anyone know if there is any significance to the length of the wire? Can the wire be shorter than 12 inches for each filter?
Parts list:
- 1 Metallized Polyester Film Capacitors 0.1uF 100volts 5%
> Mouser #: 80-R82EC3100DQ70J
> Mfr. #: R82EC3100DQ70J - 1 1/2WATT Metal Film Resistors 1/2 watt 221 ohms 1%
> Mouser #: 71-CMF60221R00FHEK
> Mfr. #: CMF60221R00FHEK - 12” #22 gauge solid insulated copper wire
- Insulation for bare contacts – Hot Glue, Liquid Tape, or Rubber Electrical Tape with Liner
> (be sure insulation will not conduct a 6 MHz signal)
Any replies are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Angelo
