Is there a quick way to see the TIU rev letter via remote? I know, crawl under the bench and undo the screws and wires and look on unit backside. Knees protesteth!! 
Going to large train auction Sat and several TIU on block have rev H1 as I recall.
Too bad MTH didn't put rev on front panel.

Unfortunately, the TIU doesn't share that information with the remote.
I wonder if that information is actually even stored in the TIU. I suspect the hardware version is just known by the hardware and the folks that put them together.

The Rev. H is as good as any TIU prior to the Rev. L, which is a considerably more capable.

Is there a way of telling which version TIU, by the box it came in, when purchased? Does the bar code, on the box, help to identify?
