Does anyone know where to find design plans for the "disappearing train layout" other than the standard D27 plan?
Thank You

I have a D-27 hat I built and would like to sell I am in Pittsburgh.
Thanks But Im looking for a version of that but has a way to switch from going thru loop to go straight thru the tunnel, not sure if its possible yet.
Never saw one like that.
I'm not sure if its possible but it would be really cool to be able to switch between the two routes and fake some one out....
I like some of the flat versions, referenced in the link mentioned in the post above. The the route can be changed. The example where the track circles inside the tunnel can be used to give the illusion of a long tunnel.

Anything is possible! you would have to extend the Tunnel and add two switches at the top of the grade on the first 031 curve track and the top of the grade just before the tunnel head.

Your Post is great, never thought of three possible routes. I am doing a First time train garden for the X-mas tree in Dec 2018, I had just Found/Bought a New 10th anniversary O gauge Polar Express for $350. New in the box at my local Hobby store. I'm hearing that this all in one set is very popular and thought its a good way to start. The plan is to have a 6X10 platform 2 feet off the floor and another box on top 8-10 inches high to set a 12 foot X-mas tree on top of so i'm thinking the box can also serve as a Hidden Disappearing Train Tunnel/ Tunnels. Plan to have access to the inside of the box from underneath.
All dreams at this point but I have 10 months
Planning on having the Polar Express Theme.
Will be sharing with Grand Kids a 2 1/2 B and 3 1/2 G
Take Care

How about a O-42 going up the mountain then come down inside the mountain with O-31 and finally come out the bottom. If you have a small tree you could put it at the top.

I am thinking of a Mountain ingredient. possibly on one end of the 10 foot table, maybe even 1/2 on/off the table and down 2 feet to the floor.
I saw one you tube on the floor set up a real good one.
I have to be mindful of the disassembly and storage requirements also.
Brain going a mile a minute, thinking of way to have the last cars rear trucks to come off the rails and go side ways like the seen in the movie. Got a lot of testing for that one.
