Can anyone share some tips or pics for an elevated loop?
I am thinking homemade wooden or MDF trestles, with the same supporting the roadbed for track giving that girder look. How did you join the wood or mdf under track?

Mine just lies on top of the trestles. I'm thinking of adding a piece of cardboard underneath. Spray paint it gray and then add the ballast. My FasTrack does look weird on top of the trestles. A roadbed in thin air?! I guess I'll just have to look passed it, unless I build up under the trestles to look like a cliff/hill/mountain.
Hi Joe, on mine I just used a smaller piece of the wood ,same thickness as roadbed. Glue or screw it under both pieces that you want to join. I just had hip replacement surgery so no pictures - sorry. Hope this helps. Art
Steve,
That is an impressive trestle. Outstanding work!

Gerald M,
I always wanted to ask you were you got the Tunnel shaped Trestle Uprights for your layout. They are way cool? Like to know where you purchased those particular Trestle pieces.
PCRR/Dave
PCRR/DAVE ,I made these myself out of 3/4''pine boards ,i then sprayed them with paint to look like cement,i can't remember what brand of paint right now ,as a matter of fact i had saved them when i rebuilt my layout ,but i don't know if i still have them if you want i will see if i still have them & if i do you can have them for just the price of the shipping ,but somehow i think ima have thrown them out ,i will look & get back to you .
Dave The ones by the edge of the layout were made from 3/4'' pine ,but the ones on the inside of the layout were made from round dowels for the legs with i think was 1/2'' pieces of wood across the top ,i don't have any of the 3/4'' tunnel shaped ones i threw them out awhile ago ,i do have about seven of the ones made from round dowels left along with a few of the legs without the top pieces ,i will post a picture of what i have left as soon as the battery on the camera charges up.
