Hi folks,

Been a while since my last posting (heck about two years I think).  Finally getting the train back up after moving cross country.  Space is going to dictate an L shaped set up.  Roughly 12 ft long x 4 ft wide x 8 ft long.

I've started to look up some potential layouts but most of them seem to be 0-27.  All my track is Fastrack (curves are mostly 0-36)  Newbie that I am, I'm wondering can I just sub my track in or is their Fastrack in 27?

Sorry for the silly question.  If anyone has some cool ideas that would fit in the space please feel free to let me know!

Understood thanks.  As a basic rule, If I used a plan that was set for 0-27 how much larger would it be in Fastrack?  Is there a formula that I could use i.e.3ft wide in 27 translates into roughly 4ft using Fastrack?

Trying to use SCARM for my layout, navigating in metric (which is fine since I'm half Canuck!), but any way to convert it into imperial that you know of?

thanks, got it figured out!

Layout is proving to be a little harder to build in an interesting fashion than I had hoped.  My width got cut down to about 42 inches so using the 036 basically turnarounds need to be continuous with no straights.  Right now I'm playing with a space (L shape) of 11.5 ft long x 42 inches wide x 8ft long.  Trying to keep it interesting with a couple of pull outs perhaps but holiday oriented.

Since I wasn't able to set up last year and my goal has always been to add track every year (been doing this for 6 years now for my son) I figure that I can buy some new stuff in 031 if I need to, accessories, etc.  I have a pretty good amount of track, turns, switches, etc as well.  Last night I got the tables, foam base board, and white turf (for snow look) set up.  Tonight I hope to start building!

So if anyone has any thoughts let me know.
