I have installed 11 command switches. I'm trying to decide whether to just remove rage manual control switches. On the one hand it seems a good idea to keep them, but then it seems unnecessary. I'm wondering what others have done and why? Also, if I keep them any preferred method to splice leads?

Dang auto correct. No "rage" here..meant "...the manual..."
It depends where they are on the layout, the manual switches do indicate the direction of the frog if they are out of the line of sight. It can not hurt to have to much control.
Second question. Solder wires and shrink wrap.

so, cut the control wires between the lever and switch then splice a wire between?
Ann, switch direction. Excellent reason to keep them. Thanks. is there a vendor that sells the same wire bundle as used in the switch/controller link?
I think he means the manual electrical levers for the switch. I would keep them. There are times that I know I could flip that lever a a lot quicker than scroll through four screens or buttons to avoid a disastrous situation. I used small plastic terminal strips for splicing phone and switch wires for long runs of the switch controller. Still working well on 16 switches so far.
Yes, exactly. Thanks.
I intend to use track power to power the switches. Will this suffice or should I power them independently With the control levers all wired.
I found it easiest to unhook the wires at the switch, just so they remain original. The controller hookup is a lot tighter space to work with small wires and old hands. I also found phone wire with the same color wires that made it simpler. Just Sharpie the colors on the connection at the switch because left and right are in opposite order.
I would definitely keep the manual controls. I may be the odd man out, but I have actually found that I prefer manual operators for switches. I am a big fan of command control overall (it's what got me back into the hobby), but for some reason I like my little fat fingers operating the switch machines from their manual operator buttons.
