Hi,  I just joined the forum today.

Over Christmas my son got a Lionel Pennsylvania-- we liked it so much we bought Thomas and Harry Potter and some track -- I lucked out in having my carpenter brother stay over during the snow and he built this table.

Since this photo we've finished the first part of the trestle -- the plan will be to have three separate tracks we can run at once, right now two can run and they look great.

our theme is going to be very unusual -- we play Warhammer 40k which is the same as O Scale -- so the layout will have a Twilight Zone theme that is part Warhammer -- with Space Marines and Orks and space ships, then part of it which is normal America, 1960s and part which is toys and Thomas land.

im getting a crossover for the treslte part, we have a castle for the left stand and an aircraft carrier for the right one -- once we get the track done we will start on painting and modeling.

we might make one of the three tracks using regular old O a scale from my dad's train which we still have since I think my dad would like that also and he gave us some track for Christmas which is really nice with high quality switches

we'd love any tips anyone has.

This weekend got the layout just about almost right and put the castle and aircraft carrier down to test size.

this is now three independent tracks.

i might mess with the larger outer loop and extend the inter figure 8.

once all the track is finalized I can glue down supports for the trestles and start landscaping prep.
