Guys....please do your best to post in the most logical forum based on the MAIN subject/topic of your post.  We have been spending many hours each week moving posts that are in forums that are obviously not where they should be.  This causes problems down the road for those folks that may want to find a post and can't because they think it was or "should have been" in the proper forum but just can get our search engine to find it.  Even worse, the staff is spending far too much unproductive time moving your posts.  It seems that every other post is put into the 3-rail scale forum even if the topic is about tinplate trains and trains that have not been converted to 3-rail scale per the definition of that forum.  In addition, too many of you have been posting items for sale within other threads other than the for sale forum and WITHOUT PRICES which does not follow the for sale rules found within the featured topics of that forum.  We do not have enough man hours available to keep moving these posts to the correct or most logical forum.  I know there are some gray areas but I am talking about the obvious.  Also, if you post "I emailed you" or anything similar to this, those posts will be deleted since posts like that only serve to bump the thread to the top.  So...beginning on Monday of next week, I have instructed the mods to start deleting posts that are "obviously" in the wrong forum category.  We don't have the time and resources to devote hours per day much less per week to keep moving your posts around so PLEASE help us and pay attention to where you are posting.  Every topic does not go into 3-rail scale ...

Just wanted to do an update to let you all know that there are still folks that are posting their topics in the wrong forum.  I am not talking about "gray" areas here but obviously wrong.  Please don't get upset or complain if your topic gets deleted at this point.  READ my post above and try to understand that we do not always have time to move topics.  There are at least a dozen or more per day that are being found that are not in the proper forum.  We need your help to make as close to the right choice of where you are posting.  Thanks!

We are still getting too many alerts from the system about posts being put in the wrong place!  If you are looking for a certain hobby related item, the make your post in the "want to buy".  There are many of you that post everything in one topic ... particularly the 3-rail scale and/or 2-rail scale with topics that have nothing to do with those category definitions.  Again, don't get upset if your post/thread gets deleted.  Read my initial post above and become familiar with the categories.  Thanks for your help.

7-3-22 ... still far too many folks posting in the wrong forum.  Guys and Gals, if you are looking to purchase something, then post in the want to buy!  AND, just because you have a modern piece of equipment, it doesn't mean you should post everything in the 3-rail scale forum.  We have categories for Lionel, MTH, and Atlas.  Most (except the obvious 3-rail traditional pre-1970) items can fit into one of those categories.  If you have pictures of your layout or videos, then place those posts in the photo/video forum.  Thanks for your help.

Just a reminder....if your "I need this or that" or "I want to locate/buy" or "I have for sale this or that" ... posts have disappeared it is most likely because you are putting them in the wrong category.  We don't always get a chance to move them to the correct forum so sometimes the system gets to them before you or we do and ZAP!, they are gone.  PLEASE make this easier on everyone and take the time to become familiar with the different forums we have here and post in the most logical one based the MAIN topic in your post.
