Actually, it's seems to be only slightly higher than homosote in a wall assembly. The STC numbers on the far right of the attached document are for a wall assembly, which is two sheets of product, and air space filled with fiber insulation. They don't provide the number for the product alone.

Homosote has an STC of 50. (see attached, at top of page).

The gypsum won't be helpful for a layout builder. You know how fasteners are in drywall.

Wander into the flooring area the next time your are there and look at the numbers for the closed cell foam used for laminated floor underlayment. STC numbers around 67 for a 2-3mm thick product.
