Guys, update on my 990 set I Sent in to be repaired. Lionel fixed it at no charge. They repaced the reciver board, charging on/off switch and upgraded the charging unit. They even sent me some v1.6 blue modules. I asked if they could so I could upgrade my old 990 set. Nice on thier part. Turnaround time was short and they even put it in the correct size box to ship it back in. Top notch sevice! THANKS Lionel!
It seems to work just fine. Only one engine had an issue. See my post on here titled atlas sw9 with 990 base? I go into detail about the issue there.
Have not tried the charger part yet. I Need to find the proper battery's first. Thier was none when I bought the set. If you remember it was used. My old set had some but they were bad out of the box. Will try to get the right kind and see if they got it all working 100%. As for what I did check it seems fine. Also is there a v1.6 manual hard copy or do we have to download those now?
Thanks to lionel again for standing by these sets. Just love having two remotes now.
