Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has mixed HO with O gauge trains on there layout for depth perception? If so could you share some pictures?

Mike over the years I have seen pics of a few layouts where they took HO and did something in the back of the layout to give the illusion of distance other then using it for an amusement park ride..........Paul
Thanks Paul!
Hi John, you have so many video's! Do you have a title the shows some?
Mike: Here is a secret...I don't have a single O scale building on the layout. Everything is compressed to provide the illusion that the layout looks larger than it is. Our Izaak Walton Inn painted on our backdrop would be four feet long and two feet tall in O scale! ANY building in the videos is UNDER-SIZED. Yes, buildings near the fascia are larger than the buildings by the backdrop.
PAY CLOSE attention to our Izaak Walton Inn area...all buildings, engine, cabooses by backdrop are HO scale. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-NHoYY-9zE&t=7s
Not HO but I have a loop on top of a mountain that is Lionel oo with small buildings and trees. This is pre War Lionel and looks great in my opinion.
John, that is just Great! I also love the video! What a great layout! I am also going to be trying to do something from Seattle to Chicago! I will try and upload a layout plan that I have So Far!
Am planning to incorporate a loop of HO up and to the rear of my O gauge mainlines with a couple of passing sidings as I have some nice HO equipment that I want to operate at home someday.

Sam, when you get that far can you post some pictures for me and everyone else to learn from!
I'm considering having both HO and O on the same layout, so I'll be watching this thread for any ideas offered also.
Scale? No.
Gauge? Yes: O and On30 (HO gauge).
Not quite HO but on my last layout I incorporated an ON30 logging operation in with the O gauge. The effect was very nice. I'm thinking about doing it again on my current build.
I did briefly but decided I didn't like the cheapness of track I bought and so took it off until I retrofit my other track as well. I also had a n scale box set and put that out... anyway all half baked ideas really.
