If you guys have done some customizing to your engines and you've put on a PSC headlight, where do you get the lenses for the headlights?
Thanks!

I make my own using plastic bubble wrap. Measure the ID of the headlight housing. Get a drill bit the same size and drill a hole in 1/8-1/4" steel plate. Chuck the drill bit upside down and file, sand, and polish the end to the approximate curvature you want. Then use the bit to punch out lenses, as many as you want.
This lens was made using the technique described.

Pete,
That didn't work. Can you try again?
Larry,
I use one of these. Comes in handy for gauge dials too.
If you've got real skill and patience, you can cut them from slip cover glass using a diamond tip scribe.
I've used polyacetate that I cut close, or use a hole punch to make, and then sand round to fit.
Someone with a laser cutter could make these and sell them cutting them from polyacetate....
What part didn't work??? A set of punches like that would be fine assuming they had a diameter close to right size.

Your link or whatever that little square is. I'd like to see what's there.
Thanks Pete.
Nice work, Pete! What all is customized on that engine?
Larry, I didn't really add a lot of detail to the engine other than what was missing. I bought it with a lot of damage. The tender required new beams fore and aft along with their associated detail like air hoses, grabs, etc. Much of the piping had to be reattached. The valve gear and rods on the left side were missing and had to be replaced. Added detail included power reverse linkage, coupler lift chain and headlight lens and some misc. added piping.
This engine comes pretty detailed to begin with, probably only second to Kohs in that department.
