We are CONSIDERING making this engine and have had a couple people interested. Before we commit to making this engine from Lionel, we need to sell at least 30 of the 40 engines that Lionel requires as a minimum order. Orders for this engine need to be in to us by midnight on November 10, 2024 so we have time to reach out to Lionel to get the process started with them if we have enough orders.
If, after this time frame passes, we do not have enough orders to justify the run, we will send out an email notice and cancel all the pre-orders. As always, we do not charge for pre-orders until the item is here and ready to ship.
We do not know the exact version of the Black Bonnet paint scheme yet as no design work has been done at this point. If this project gets enough interest, we are planning something similar to the paint scheme on our MTH Premier 4-6-2 Pacific (pictured) except that it's a J1e Hudson w/PT Tender.
