Looking to add this pilot to the K-lie E-9. A few questions for you experienced 3 rail scalers that fix pilots........I am thinking 1/8" spacer but not sure. Maybe 1/16 ? Is plastruct what you would use? Use epoxy or super glue and accelerator when attaching pilot and spacer? Any other comments would be welcomed.

Is that a Lionel pilot? I just mounted mine to the frame.

Pete, thanks for the reply. Yes, that is a Lionel pilot. So you didnt even use a spacer. Interesting, Gotta say that NYC jade looks fantastic. (so does the E-6). How about a side view showing how far off the rail that pilot is? Did you consider a spacer before you mounted to the frame? Assuming you used 2 sheet metal screws to mount pilot to frame? I also have that jade green set from K-line. If this PRR works out , I may fix a pilot on that as well.
I didn’t consider a spacer as I thought the detail would be wrong. I have a pilot from a K-Line F3 that they included as an option that was taller than the Lionel one. That would be ideal for this application. I used machine screws and drilled and tapped the frame to accept them.
As for the gray E7 that pilot was cast using a 3rd Rail E7 pilot as a master.
