My old layout design used Ross 2 double slips in combo with 2 Ross # 4 L & R switches. Some on this forum suggested that double slips can be troublesome and inhibit smooth operation. The layout was redesigned and the slips & two # 4 switches were replaced with 2 Ross 11 degree crossovers and 2 # 5 switches. Also, another 3 way switch was added to the one already there on the right side of the layout, so they now work back-to-back. On the left side of the layout 2 new # 4 back-to-back switches that act as cross overs. From an operation standpoint, a train can now only access the peninsula from the middle track. The new plan is attached.
I'd like to know if these changes might cause some problems I don't see and if any suggestions can be offered.
Thanks, Mike
