Interested in how people mount their toggle switches. I am setting them up for kids and my under space pullouts control my rail switches but want the kids to be able to push buttons and be able to have various farm lights go on and buildings light up and sound and smell effects (for the cattle yard and pig stye!) without derailing my trains. So how do you mount your toggles so they are pretty and available to the shorter among us?

I have used Radio Shack project boxes. These boxes can be mounted to the side of your layout. Drill a hole in the cover to mount the toggle switches. Wiring will be contained within the box. I always buy the ones with more depth, gives you more room for wiring.
Good luck.

super thanks guys know what I am doing Sunday! I love all the help I get here!
On a display layout I built for the Towson 0 scale national show there was a need to block off each end of four tracks.
To keep it simple I used a two wire moulding boxs each with a quad rocker switch that is normally used in 110 volt applications. Both items available at HD/Lowes.
Normally I would use recessed fascia toggle switches but I wanted to try something different.
Note also S.P.D.T. slide toggles surface mounted for throwing the points and correctly polarizing each frog.
Photo two is a close up of the four rocker switch control for the two near tracks.
Photo #3 is a linear shot down the mid point of the 3' X 21' three module assembly.
All controls can be reached by a seated operator.
Note how the bottom skin of photo #4 extends forward to provide the floor for the recessed controls. Barely visiable, cut off at top of photo.
