I was unable to go. Was it well attended by both buyers and sellers? And a general description.
I was only there Saturday but to me it seemed like there were fewer seller tables and the crowd seemed very light. I came home with 80% of the cash I had budgeted to spend because there just wasn't much in the way of what I was looking for.
One observation I would make is that perhaps sellers should be encouraged to minimize the chatter amongst themselves regarding buyers being too 'cheap' to buy anything or complaining about how dismal these shows are. It doesn't exactly motivate a buyer to spend at their table. I overheard that type of banter at dealer tables mostly. I just wish if the dealer is that bitter and miserable they stay home and stick to selling on the bay rather than bring their negative vibe to Cal-Stewart.
The auction was a real bummer. I sat for 2 hours of lot after lot of rusted pre and post war tubular track selling for $1 to $10 for box after box of mangled track. The auction mostly catered to a group of 5 guys who bought it up as if their next stop was the metal recycling center.
At one point I looked to my right there was one gentleman asleep and the crowd had shrunk to about 20% of what it had started at. for me it left a great deal to be desired, it was actually sad.
on the bright side the layouts were nice and seemed to bring lots of smiles and met some really friendly members.
