And it's also on channel 231 on DISH.

As previously posted, here’s the link to find out if RFD-TV is available in your area:

Find Us in Your Area

And here’s the link again to their weekly schedule in which the times of the early morning repeats of the two train shows have slightly changed:  Schedule

Thanks to pingman for identifying that schedule change earlier in this thread.

But is Bob’s RFD-TV channel info for Verizon in Pittsburgh the same for Verizon customers in other parts of the country?

Got it recorded, but it came out completely Pixel-ated.  Verizon tech suggested I clean the copper (stingers) on my cable connections.  He said the copper tends to build up ions over time.  If the connection or connections have not been taken apart for 3 or more years, the ionization will cause the pixelation.  Take connection apart, clean with pencil eraser, and reassemble.  I will be trying this fix.

UPDATE!  Cleaning the copper "stingers" on each of my cable connections has eliminated the pixelation problem I was having.  I took each connection apart, pressed the copper stinger into a pencil eraser, turned the pencil a few times, and the copper was clean again.  Not every connection was bad, but a few were dark, not quite black, but were nice shiny copper again after cleaning.  Thought I'd pass this along if anyone else has a pixelation problem.

The program description on U-verse was nothing like the program I watched yesterday afternoon--and what I watched was great IMHO.  Instead of some HO and other content I don't recall from the pre-broadcast description, RFD TV presented the Milwaukee Lionel club's layout and a history of the club--current layout is in club-owned 3000 sq. ft. facility with full landscaping, lots of structures, etc.  That segment was about 2/3 of the show.

The remaining 1/3 or so was of a Lionel 191 dealer display from the past that is owned by a private individual.  The operating accessories, a steam locomotive, and a GP7 of postwar vintage were shown.

I recorded the program though I was not enthusiastic about its anticipated content based on the program guide I saw; but, what was shown was great!

Hi Carl:

It’s not U-verse’s fault.  The same thing happened on DIRECTV as the segments that aired were exactly the same as you described while the program guide had indicated different episodes.  Over the 10+ years I’ve been watching train shows on DIRECTV this has happened frequently.  So it is apparently RFD-TV that is at fault.  The old adage that the left hand doesn’t what the right hand is doing probably applies at RFD-TV.  But as you pointed out the episodes that are shown sometimes are more interesting than what was advertised!

Also be advised that so far all of the episodes that have been shown lately are repeats from past seasons and they are from the “Lionel Nation” series of DVD’s that TM Books & Videos produced and sold several years ago.  So for those Forum members without RFD-TV access, you can buy the DVD’s directly from TM or find them for sale at many Train Shows.

The recent episodes of the “Trains & Locomotives” series are also repeats from previous seasons.

Gee, that sounds like most of the stuff on the History channel too.

I need  to see if RFD is on our local Time Warner provider. Then I could watch a new set of reruns I haven't seen before.  lol
