They refer to it as a78100 tender with the 115041 CV-style engine, but yours looks like it came with a black 1010 or plain black 2000 engine. Have also seen these in metallic blue, used with the blue 2000 CV-style engine. And, in the later Wyandotte era, they used this tender with their 970 engines and WRR logo.

Jim. I appreciate the information! This piece was included in an incomplete Marx set I purchased recently. I thought this was the most interesting piece in the lot! Now I will have to go out and find the matching engine!

Funny how the couplers point "up"! This tender looks definitely a Hafner, but one locomotive I have which is a Karl Bub, also have pointing up couplers.

This will add to the mix, Brimtoy also uses pointed up couplers on their 4-inch goods wagons and their 6-inch passenger pullmans.
