Dick, I will get back to you as I just ordered the materials to build 3 of them. I just added 2 EJ&E cabs to that batch too.

I need to finish 4 VGN, 1 NW and 4 RS3 I have going right now. I also have 2 SOO line stock cars under construction too. I have a seperate table set up for those. Oh yes, I have a SP beet unloading facility about to get underway too.

I hope to work on my layout a little in between Smile.

Very nice work on the primed side-door IC caboose shown above. I wonder if you could work another one like it into your busy schedule? I'd like one in the IC's caboose red color, with white graphics. Is this something you would consider making, and about what price are we talking about? Thank you for your consideration of my request. Bill H.

Actually that "side door" is not really for unloading anything. The IC had those "side door" cabooses so that a man didn't have to hoop-up train orders while standing on the steps of the caboose ends, which was unsafe, in their minds. Sooooo, the IC had all those special "side door" cabooses so a man could stand safely INSIDE and simply lean out of that side door while catching train orders.

Except in Iowa, where they were illegal.  Don't ask me why, I don't know.  IC had cabeese without the side doors for the Iowa division.
