There is an outside chance I will take my motorcycle up to Hamburg, Pa for a train show, since I am really jonesing for a train show. More likely, I will spend the day cleaning up my layout and my basement, so I can dive right into my favorite time of the year.
Oh, and I sold all of my Eagles tickets for this season, so that is 8 more Sundays I get to spend in my basement. Yay me!
Hey Chris, the Chiefs & Patriots kick it off the regular season tonight.

The buildings were all custom built over many years. The buildings are made up of styrene panels that were drawn with a CAD program, computer cut and etched, and then assembled and painted. The Pennsylvania Station and the Grand Central Terminal were made by TW Trainworx.
I would LOVE to watch that design and fabrication process, from beginning to end ..... well, maybe a time lapse version But seriously, that is an awesome layout, one that shows more than just hard work, but vision as well. When you started, did you have the "big picture" of what you wanted to achieve?

I started planning this layout in 2000, and it was always going to be a New York City layout. I "finalized" my track plan around 2004. I had originally thought about using Department 56 "Christmas in the City" buildings but wanted this layout to be something on a grander scale. Over time I met several talented people, with the right equipment, who were willing to work with me to bring my ideas to reality.
