I’ve been working on benchwork for a while. Tonight it was finally time to lay out a few pieces of track to see what I can do with this area.
The curves are the mainline and the start of the yard. Starting the yard on the opposite side and wrapping it around will let me park longer trains on the ready tracks.
I keep having way too much unused space and am having trouble finding ways to tie into a yard lead but I’m working on it!
The other end has a roundhouse and turn table. The turntable is not cooperating for eyeball alignments. I may well need to figure out how to index it Suggestions?
Any design thoughts on the yard welcomed as well. The starting on a turn idea came from a forumite.
