I am looking for someone who would have the woodworking skills to build layout tables. I live in the Bethlehem area.

If you don't hear from anyone you could take a look at one of our advertisers: Mianne Customizable Benchwork. Just a thought.

Hi Jim
I had looked into Mianne and actually spoke with them about half a year ago. Mianne is an awesome company, but you need to know exactly what you are ordering down to the precise measurements. I don't want a typical table layout, I want something bigger and different that meanders about and I am interested in talking with someone and looking at options with that person. I am lucky enough to have an enormous space to create a layout. I am also considering a modular-type layout. I would rather find someone who is within a 50 mile radius, give or take, who I could work with where flexibility for some last-minute adjustments would be an option.
By the way - I noticed you are affiliated with the New York Central System Historical Society. Do you know Richard Stoving? I inadvertently met him back in the spring through my research into the New York Central Railroad. What a tremendous individual! He invited me out to see his layout and we became immediate friends. I am an O-Gauger and Rich does HO, but apart from that difference we really hit it off well and his layout is absolutely amazing. Actually, HE is absolutely amazing - I have learned so much from him already. Total classy gentleman who enjoys teaching others about the hobby. I am so thankful that I met him. My wife and I are going out to see his layout again this month - can't wait!
There are a couple of model railroading clubs near you that you can contact for help. Not sure of their correct names one is Black Diamond model railroaders in Bethlehem and Nazareth model railroaders in Stockertown on route 512
I would think a local handyman with good carpentry skills could do what you need.

That is exactly what I am looking for - someone who understands model railroading and has the skills and tools to actually build what I am looking for.
@trainbob
Yes - I know both of those places. I will reach out to them as well - they might know someone.
