Are you kidding me?  The color combination is terrific, but not traditional.  The Ruby Red color is beautiful, and coordinates beautifully with the cream trim... and dovetails with the black nicely.  The striping on the loco is similar to the prototype, and nice looking too!

 

The firemist colors are very nice and will look great going around the track!  Great job with the colors Lou.

 

P.S.- We like red/maroon trains out here in the midwest.  Frisco, Katy, GM&O, Alton Route all had em back in the day.

OK that got my attention.  C and A used local St. Louis names on the cars.  Might be good timing for 2013 since a convention is here and the names will be fresher in the members minds...

 

Texas Special... Do tell!!!  That is totally down my alley... especially if it is the Frisco Version!

certainly! i was starinfg at a blue comet set and vandy locomotive at my friends house and thought to myself WOW that would be a good marrige. so i made a phone call and then went to my local caddy dealer and came up with the color como. had a restoration guy paint everything and here we are!
