LED lighting for layout

The warm white will look more like the existing halogen lighting. Cool white looks more like daylight but can also have an unnatural cast. It really is just a matter of preference. I'm in the process of converting my Par 30's to warm white LED, for about 10 bucks per bulb, so it's not too big a deal to just try them both out.

I purchased 2 more earlier this month for $9.99 but the price today is $12.99. Go figure...

One of the few that I installed failed after a few months, but for 10 bucks it wasn't worth the time and trouble to return it. So for that reason, I can't rate them as "perfect".

Note that these and many other 110/220 VAC LED lights have a turn-on delay of a fraction of a second. Until you get used to it, it can be startling.

Just found a R30 at Lowes yesterday for 9.00.  2700 K.  I thought it may be a bit too yellow, but for 9.99, gave it a shot.  Looks quite nice.  Bright, and whiter than I thought it would be.  It is a whiter light than my halogens, or CFL R30s, but not a bluish, harsh white light.
