Anyone have track layout for 060 figure 8 ?  I am new to model railroading and am trying to build a layout with an outer loop joined to an inner figure 8 loop and am having all kinds of problems trying to get the pieces fit.  I am hoping to build a figure 8 loop inside the outer loop.  My layout dimensions are approximately 8 feet wide by 18 feet long (basically four 4 x 8 plywood tables with a two foot middle divider section to provide access as needed).

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Dave;

Thanks again for the layout.  unfortunately I can't run SCARM software because I have a Mac so I run RailModelerPro but I was able to use the picture and identify the pieces that way. Unfortunately RailModeler Pro has a flaw with the 060 switches and so any layout I build that involves switches is always off.  Really frustrating.  So sending me the picture is really a great help.  I will take down the old layout tomorrow and replace with this which is much better.

Thanks again

Doug

Here's a track plan I threw together in RailModeller. I think all the connections are within tolerance and I've found Fastrack to be somewhat flexible as well. Pretty basic with crossovers between loops and one long passing siding. Definitely room to add sidings, etc or reconfigure.

8'x18' is a pretty big space and you definitely have room for a more interesting track plan with space for grades to/from multiple levels, multiple loops, etc. Especially if you're willing to use a tighter radius curve on a couple lines.
