lionel lioncheif plus

I have a lionel lioncheif plus and would like to get one for each grandkid. Using multiple controllers and locos can they run more than one loco at the same time. Is it necessary to set up control blocks or can can I continue with only one?

Multiple LionChief locomotives can operate on the same power block.

Just be sure you get two different types of loco!
