It's hard to beat the price-point of the Menard's Track, and they also offer wider (96-inch) curves than Lionel. I ordered some Menard's Track, and in my opinion, the 2 drawbacks are (1) fewer ties per section and (2) the center rail insulators do not appear as heavy-duty as those on the Lionel track.
Whichever brand you buy, be sure to test every section with a meter before installation. Finding a bad insulator after the track is down can be a lot of work.
We have a large traveling layout that we are going to remove all the 50-year-old track and replace with new track.
Half the group wants Lionel tubular and the other half wants Menards tubular.
Need your opinions and why
Thank you for your time, Dave
As long as you are talking about O Gauge tubular and not 027 Tubular the Menards tubular is really well made and electrically sound in addition to being a bargain.
