Where would the best place to get the piston guide rods(S253X-00K01)for a 0-4-4 Porter steamer?
Have been given this new in box loco but the 2 guide rods are missing.Can`t seem to find them on the Bachmann site.

I have a buggered up Porter I was going to use in my junk heap. If you contact me off line @ peterebherron@gmail.com and somehow show me exactly what you need, I'll look and see if I have what you need.

Folks, I just now saw this thread. Last year, I was looking for some hard to find Bachmann parts not offered on the official Bachmann parts website. I looked high and low and just happened to send a message to a guy on eBay that offered various parts. He did not have the items I wanted listed, but when I sent him a message he said, yes, I have those and he said that he could not possibly list every item that he has. He immediately listed the items I needed and I purchased them.

and if you send him a message (email or whatever), he just may have the parts you need. If I hadn't sent him that message, I would never have found the parts I was looking for. PS: he also has (or had at the time) shay parts (trucks, lineshafts, etc etc)

Would you believe it found on my own patch.
Did not even bother to contact Bachmann UK as they have been worse than useless in the past but a reply within 20mins & they have parts in!
So it goes to show look under your nose & you may find it!
