Hello All,

First time poster  new layout I am getting ready to build but I will need to move it once a year for several days.  I have read up on modular and sectional designs but I can't for the life of me figure out the best way to divide this guy up.  The layout at its longest points is 13X7  with the bits that jut out on either side being 4 ' wide each.  We dont want the pieces to be cumbersome but we also dont want to cut the hill over the tunnel up as we thing that would look pretty bad.  I will attach the scarm 3d image of the layout.  Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.  track2

Thanks. I suspected it was all 1 level, but the 3D view made me question the bridge being raised.

Anyway, not knowing exactly what size sections you'd be comfortable with, I took a stab to generate some discussion. Notice I moved the lower left crossover further to the left so you could make a 48"x72" section separated at straight tracks. I kept the bridge on another section that is 50"x60", again separated at straight tracks. The 3rd section has the mountains and is 32"x84". The mountains can overlap on the right, but the overlap would "float". The last section has the yard and it separates on a curve, but only a single track, so joining shouldn't be too much trouble. The yellow, green and maybe blue sections could be further cut in half horizontally. If you do that with the blue section, you'd could make the mountains removable.
