lost sounds from engine

I have lost the sounds from a Christmas engine I have. Frosty the snowman. The engine runs but I believe the mother board is toasted. It will send no sounds anymore to the speaker in the tender. I have another engine just like it and I tested the tender out on it. It works. So I think it is the mother board with the sounds in the engine that is bad. Any idea's from you guys on a repair???
