I have Mac and trying to buy RR track. Can the software be downloaded, or is it just available by mail?
Any other track planning software that I can use on a MAC?

I too own a mac and have found nothing so far
I used Empire Express Software when designing my layout using my Mac a few years ago. It works well but did not have have all the features of RR Track at that time. The new version of Empire Express seems to be much better than the version that I used. Here is a link:

Farwest is currently attempting to use Wine and Wineskin, which puts a "wrapper" on a Windows app to run on a mac. He is trying with SCARM, but it should work on RR-Track. It's a little tricky.
Not my computer expertise, but it sure would help a lot of model railroaders with macs.
XTrackCAD has a Mac version. I've used it some, but prefer SCARM so I just use SCARM since I have Windows 7 installed via BootCamp.
I have used Rail Modeller and it works wel. IT is missing some track libraries that would be helpful but I am able to make do with what is there and get a good result.

Guys and gals, RR-Track is the cats-meow of track-planning software with just about every track and accessory library you can imagine. They're an OGR magazine advertiser to boot. So spend a few bucks and go with the best there is. Your own time is worth money, so look at it that way if you need to justify the number-crunching.
I run Parallels on a small Mac-mini computer with Windows 7, that I boot up as needed when running a few Windows-only apps. It's not a big deal in the scheme of things.
