The seed for my interest in McCoy was planted long before my first Std Gauge purchase. In 2009 I was spending a weekend with my buddy Dave Hess near Portland OR. He took me across the border to see his friend Al. Here are some pictures of what I saw. 4 years later, my first Std Gauge purchase was a 2 tone blue passenger set, which I acquired from Al. The sights in his train room left a lasting impact. I now have a little less than 200 McCoy pieces stuffed in the garage etc. Al has been selling off quite a bit, so I'm not sure how large his collection is now. Always looking for more, but have passed up on some I wanted, us retired folks only got so much money to spend.

At the time of this visit, Al was reworking his layout to accommodate the soon to be released Brute.
