Dang! That's very cool. I will be ordering one tonight.
Bob the color of that container is almost an exact match for the Pepsi sign. I think I see a Pepsi container in the future.
Is the base weighted? What is the approximate weight capacity of the hook before unit topples?
Very cool, could not find on the MENARD'S web page. Anyone have the direct link?

Hi Gary,
If you go to menards.com/trains, this is listed under the die cast section. Here's a direct link.

Hey there Bob, I am not sure what you have up your sleeve for your next build! But I do know you are playing with fire having the house with the girls washing the car between Grandpa's house and the fire station! First off Grandpa is going to have a heart attack watching the girls, and when grandma calls 911 there wont be any firemen cause they are also watching the girls washing the car! LOL

Yes, the base is weighted. There are 4 supports that hold the tower, I would super glue these to make the tower more stable. Other than that, it will lift a lot. Hope this helps..Bob
it looks like a ho gauge crane on a O gauge layout....way cool
Thank you Bob.
Thanks for the direct link, Mark
The web site says it is 1:50 scale. If I am right, O scale is 1:48 so the crane will fit right in.
My tower crane is on the way. Now, if y'all want to be flabbergasted as I am, go on Ebay and search 1:50 die-cast crane. Make sure you are sitting down when you do. I thought our O scale locomotives were expensive...wow!

Holy Schmokes ! I can't afford not to buy from Menards. Even if Ebay includes a box of trees
Terrific pictures Bob as always! Thinking of buying 10 and modeling downtown Dubai! LOL

Not sure what you were looking at but they have the same crane for $47.99. Enough of comparing prices. Menards gets my $'s.
Look up NZG die cast cranes, their detail is amazing, but wow! I stil the Liebherr 1300
Quite a deal with their current 11% rebate going on...and with free shipping to the Menards store nearest you!
....especially when compared to the same item on Ebay being purveyed by someone else...
Nice vignette item for that downtown access hatch hole on the layout....
Just when I thought I had every thing I needed. (wait - who's kidding whom?)
This is an example of what I was talking about on Ebay. This thing is $2300.00!!!
Bob- I appreciate your new product photos a great deal. They give valuable insight into what the item looks like to help make buying decisions!
Man I want one (along with a few miltary flats to work with) but the rebate doesn't help people with no Menards store around. I guess I'll wait and hope they offer a freebie with each item ordered and pray they still have these cranes at that time!

Way above my pay grade. $2300.00 would go a long way with Menards Train Stuff.

That's 172 boxes of trees ! ! !
You maybe have all 172 boxes already....
Lol, I would rather have the trees.
You got yours quickly. Mine shows "in staging" since 8/22. Six days of staging.

Cabinet Bob, Thanks for the review and Pics.
Made a small purchase, Lionel truck, from Menards and received a rebate. None even remotely close to the east coast, so I sent it your way since they won't allow its use on Menard's dot com..
Don, that is so cool for so many reasons!!!!!!
