Mianne offers second leve! Benchwork in their catalog of you can get them to make a custom job to your specifications.  I divided my plan into three sections and am buying three kits to save cost on custom build and divide my total cost into three payments.  I have one built and one on order to be delivered after they are back from York.

I found it fairly easy to build a second level on top of my section that will be two stacked turn back loops.  I don't have access to my photographs right now.  I can post them tomorrow, but if you look at the last couple pages of my topic in my signature line you can see what I mean.  I'll check back in tomorrow.

Yes, here they are.  These first two are the Mianne benchwork for the lower turnback loop.  Standard Mianne construction.  This loop will be hidden but I will have access with removable fascia.

I want to build the town of Thomas, West Virginia on the upper loop.  The town is built on a hillside going up from the Western Maryland Railway below.  (It is a rails to trails trail now.)  The town will be built up over the back part of the loop.  So I built this frame of 1x2 poplar I found at Lowes.  Then I supported it with 5 sections of 2x2 poplar.  I really spent very little on that limited quantity of the poplar.

The track will come off the loop behind the track on the lower loop, so I will just need risers for it to get up the grade from the yet to be built benchwork.

Here you can see I will have access to rerail trains and clean track.  I really thought this was easier than getting Tim Foley to do something custom.
