I know that we already have a "weekend movies" topic here that pops-up just about every weekend.  That topic covers "Real" and "Model" trains.  What I am starting here is a topic that only post videos of Model Trains.  Now, since most train shows happen over the weekend I thought that posting these videos as soon as we can would be a good idea.  This video shows an ore drag that ran on our club layout this weekend.

I hope you enjoy it and have some of your own that you would like to add.

B&OBILL,

Thanks for posting and keeping this topic active.  At first I thought it would be a weekly topic, hence the date in the title.  However, I think I like your suggestion of a continuous thread better.  So let's go with that.

I really enjoyed your video.  Nice module with the Washington Monument complete with reflection pool and cherry blossom trees.  It is also the first time that I ever saw somebody actually load a container using a Mi-Jack.

Okay guys, the pool is open feel free to jump in.

Big Boy,  I just visited your YouTube channel and took the  "Westbound run on the TCC mainline".

I am truly in awe of the size and quality of your design, track work, wiring and electrical skills, and carpentry work, not to mention your dedication to a project of this scope.

I salute you BigBoy and will go back and read a page of your thread as often as I can until get current with progress.

WOW.

Almost makes me want to move to the land of 10,000 lakes.

In the early years, Santa Fe's El Capitan was pulled by steam locomotives. Who knows, perhaps the 2900 or 3700 series locomotives were used on the point.

Later diesels handled the El Cap. In the mid 50's the Hi-Level El Capitan cars were introduced. The Santa Fe had five full 12-car El Capitan trains. For most of the time, between the middle to late fifties, there were four El Capitan trains running. Two westbound from Chicago to California, two eastbound from L.A. to Chicago and one being serviced before departure from either Chicago or L.A.

I seriously doubt that a 3700 series loco ever pulled the Hi-Level consist in this video. But it is MY train and I'll power it as I please, provided it is Santa Fe power.

Hope you enjoy this video.

I tell ya this I had a ton of FUN making it.

Jim, I have a 30 car Tropicana train....the small train with the miniatures, a flat with OJ crates and a Seagram's Vodka reefer trails it.

Peter

All you need now is a flat Car with a screw driver on it.  and the visuals are complete.

Doc I did notice that the bottles were empty and post title was from the weekend.
