Seems I have two 2-8-0 PRR. And one O-31 switch that do not get along

My Southern 4-6-2 and Berkshire 2-8-4 and my NY & Atlantic MPAC Switcher have no issues in either direction.

But bot PER will not take the diverting track heading in...

My question

What is the standard wheel seperation on the front axle and how loose should the front truck be

I have adjusted the truck screw but with no success leads me to standard wheel speration...

Quite a puzzler.

No other issues anywhere else. And J have an o-31 on an incline directly f2f my off a 42 r curve...And they both sail through

Odd very odd and annoying

Suggestions?

Make sure the tracks leading into the switch are level with the switch.

And ensure the rails line up well.

I had derails on a switch for that reason (Un-Level approach track).

Also look to ensure the drawbar / coupler on the rear swings freely, if it binds it can cause derails.

I also had an engine where I had to stretch the spring under the front truck to ensure adequate down pressure on the rails.
