I'm in the market for a brill trolley with proto 2 and have a couple of questions:
-I see they were made at three different times, 2001,2005 and 2009. Do any of these have the 5V boards?
-I have the early brill trolley 30-2512-1 without the proto 2 and I'm wondering if I can simply switch the shell with one of the proto 2 ones. I'd like to keep the LVT logo running.
I'm planning ahead here for York. I'll appreciate any info received.

The 2001 will doubtless have 5V boards, the others should have 3V boards.
You may have to move some lighting if it's different for the conventional one and the PS/2 model.
Thanks John. That's what I suspected but I was hoping you or George would confirm it. I got lucky in the past by using an MTH FM unit and putting a Lionel shell on the FM diesel. I'm hoping to do a similar thing here. I do want to avoid the 5V board though.
