I have a G Scale MTH 70-3017 PS2.0 4-6-6-4 Western Maryland Challenger that I am trying to run with a DCS Remote Commander. When I hook everything up, the green lights comes on the remote receiver, and the engine automatically starts up ( which I do not believe it should start up until I press a command button). I cannot get any commands to work from the hand remote. When I press a button the receiver green light blinks but no reaction from the engine. Does anyone have experience with the DCS Remote Commander ?

Thanks

Jim

Since this is #1 scale and 2 rail base, find the polarity switch on the engine and rotate it.  Or turn the engine around facing other direction.  Now the DCS signal will make it to the board properly and it should stay silent as Barry mentioned.  IF it still does not work, it may need a factory reset per Chessie.  This would be a PS-2 3V engine, so no way to reset with DCS Remote CDR.  G
