This is a re-post

Is there anyone's Flex track that has the same rail dimensions (cross section) of the rails that are used for MTH RealTrax snap together track?

I understand the road bed would have to be added and that the electrical interconnections would have to be modified. I am after a flex track rail section whose rail cross section matches that use by MTH's RealTrax.

Here's the problem:

Using the MTH supplied software for RealTrax I connected up my layout where I have a lot of track in a small space. It all connected per the program (except for some reversing tracks which I eliminated). The problem is a section of track about 2 feet long really snakes to connect two 1/2 circles of track together. It works but the trains sure look bad going through it (not smooth at all). The program allowed me to use a couple of partial curves and a short straight section to get it connected.

I am thinking about replacing that 2+ foot section (in two places) with pieces of flex track so the connection can be smoother than the pre-curved snap together RealTrax track sections allow. The track is defined as two 1/2 circles facing each other. One is made of O-31 RealTrax and the other is made of O-42 RealTrax. The left side of one has to connect to the right side of the other. But the ends of each loop's track, which are parallel, are off center from each other by 4 1/2 inches. There is 25 1/2 inches for the connection. Flex tack would easily make the connection a lot smoother than the RealTrax currently used. But the rail cross section has to match RealTrax.

PS: if there is not an exact match whose flex track comes closest to the RealTrax rail size or would be easiest to join?
